A day At Market
On Saturday I went with Mom to market. In Pennsylvania, yeah, it's pretty cold by now. And my atrocious hair was frizzing and getting in my face. Unfortunately, I left my hair ties at home. I guess Mom was really annoyed by my whining, but we made it to teh post office, market, (where i got a quart of raspberry yogurt that i finished in like two days) and then on the way home, we stopped at a little tea shop called the Pemberley Tea Shop. It was a relief to be in such a warm shop, away from that dry, lip-chapping coldness. We each ordered a little pot of tea, with a teacake to split, and then went to sit down. I found a teeny-tiny table for two up against a wall filled with pictures and paintings. I squeezed my big fat behind into that little chair. In a few minutes, the waitress came up to our table and poured us our tea. Shortly after that came the teacakes with a big scoop of clotted cream next to them. Have you ever had clotted cream? It tastes really funky at first but then you get used to it. So, we sat and talked and sat and munched and it was great. We each had three cups of tea and the teacake for only $6!!! I will definetely come back and have one of their allegedly "fantastic incredible brownies". (My Dad makes a mean brownie himself!)
